

Week 22: Trophic Levels, Symbolism in Art, McMurdo Station, Capoeira, and Crocodiles!
For their new session of Zoo classes, the kids are learning about food chains. This week, they learned about trophic levels. Playing foxes and mice to demonstrate how trophic levels work. Our kids are so happy to have class outside on such a beautiful winter day. For Geo/World Culture Day, our kids learned what life is like for researchers on McMurdo station in Antarctica. Week 21: Animal Digestion, Presentations, Introduction to Antarctica, and KID Museum!
This past week at Zoo class, City Kids learned the differences between monogastric and ruminant digestion. They also had a chance to present to the class their projects that they have been working on for five weeks. The kids came up with their own animals and their unique adaptations, taking into account everything they have learned about how animals adapt to their environments. Week 20: Fossils, Introduction to France, Valentine's Day, Capoeira, and the Hillwood Museum!
This week, City Kids continued learning about adaptations in the animal kingdom. Specifically, they learned what we can figure out about adaptations from studying fossils. One of our kids got a piggie back ride from their teacher on our Zoo walk because she lost the soul of her shoe. Super sweet! Digging for fossils! Week 19: Opposable thumbs, Ancient Greece and archeology, the myth of Persephone, Socrates, and Arts
For Zoo class last week, City Kids continued their unit, Survival of the Fittest. They leared about various adaptations in primates, like the opposable thumb. Week 18: Ancient Greece, the Olympic Games, Capoeira, and Snowzilla!!!
This past week, several of our days were cancelled because of SNOWZILLA! On their time off, our kids enjoyed the snow and did lots of sledding, but they also missed each other and co-op!
