City Kids Stories!
Shout out to Michael Smith, City Kids' own amazing writing teacher. Michael's skill, professionalism, patience, and humor made creative writing so much fun for our kids. (Like that time he tried to get them to come up with a synonym for cinnamon, with a straight face.) Thanks for an awesome year, Michael!

End of Spring Gardening!
It's the end of Spring, and our Garden is exploding with beautiful produce. We also grew some flowers and Camomile! See those little white and yellow flowers? You can dry those and make tea. They also smell amazing! Our kids are always willing to eat anything that grows in our garden. And look who we found! Ladybugs are a good sign in a garden--they eat pesty aphids. Come visit anytime little ladybugs!

Frédéric Bazille and the Birth of Impressionism for Kids is a Must!

They concluded with a plain-air painting session at the Sculpture Garden. Thanks for a fa

Searching for Invertebrates!
Our kids' final session for taxonomy was on invertebrates; they spent a few days in Rock Creek Park hunting for specimens and identifying the species they found. The kids learned a lot and had so much fun in their life science classes this year; the kids will miss their classes and teachers over the summer, but we will be back in September! Happy worm hunting everyone!
