City Kids' rooftop garden is flourishing! This week our kids harvested several veggies, enjoyed a blind taste test, and learnred how to thin out carrot sprouts and give lettuce a hair cut. Continuing our lessons on South America, our kids had a fantastic lesson on South American art that included abstract, kinetic, and cubist artwork. Recently, we finished several lessons on Brazil, and our kids were eager to show off what they knew!
For our unit on South America, our kids are learning about Brazil. We do Capoeira every week, so it was nice for our kids to learn even more about the culture. As a special treat, one of our parents prepared a delicious, traditional Brazilian salad for after Capoeira class. Delicioso!
