

Week 30: Social Networks in the Animal Kingdom, Oceans of the World, and The Museum of Natural Histo
City Kids is back at the Zoo for another session about adaptations in the wild! The kids learned all about how animals communicate and show what they are feeling. KID Museum helped kick off our unit on Oceans of the World with hands-on activities related to bioluminescent creatures of the deep, constructing boats, and learning to tie string into netting. Last week, City Kids continued their exploration of world cultures at KID Museum with activities related to New Zealand, The Great Barrier Reef, and Easter Island. The kids has a chance to use wool roving to needle felt into a cookie cutter shape of a sheep to make a small, soft 3D sheep. Easter Island head masks! Week 27: The Maori People of New Zealand, Our Garden, Celebration of Spring, and the Australian Emba
Hardcore homeschooling 101: Wear the baby while reading and teaching about the Maori people of New Zealand! The kids had a lesson in their garden with our awesome farmer! Our spinach is really growing! Look at our baby beets! Our kids also celebrated spring with a project about flowers. For our Arts Exploration trip, our Arts Exploration coordinator took the kids to the Australian Embassy to see the exhibit, "Yimardoowarra: Artist of the River, The Art of Loongkoonan."
