Jamaica!

As part of our unit on the Caribbean, our students had a lesson about Jamaica. We discussed geography, cultures, food, the Rastafari religion, Reggae, and Anansi Stories. After participating in an oral storytelling of how Anansi stories came to be called Anansi stories, the kids came up with and presented their own Anansi stories, highlighting the role of the trickster! We were also lucky that the weather was unusually warm, and we took our supplies and did our lesson in the park!
