The Piscataway Nation at The National Museum of the American Indian (NMAI)

As part of our unit on Indigenous People of North America, our kids took a trip to The National Museum of the American Indian. We looked at some items made by a member of the Piscataway Nation, a man whom our kids had the pleasure to meet recently. Being able to go to the museum and read about his family and see his work on display was extra special. We also watched a short movie in their theatre, walked around the museum, and, of course, played in the Imagination Center.

NMAI is an amazing resource for Indigenous culture, and the museum is always considering how to offer more educational opportunities. If you would like to see them offer more programs, please contact them and let them know!
