Fall is a great time to be a homeschooler.

Today was a beautiful day, and some of our kids went to Great Falls to hike, relax, and just be outside. Fortunately, we have the flexibility to complete lessons in the morning and then head out for the rest of the day. Homeschooling in the fall always feels like a privilege--when the rest of the kiddo world is retreating indoors, we get to spend our days outside, in the most amazing weather. Our kids challenged themselves on some difficult climbs, and their imaginations took them on dangerous adventures as they scaled rocks, pretended to be fierce animals in the woods, found inventive uses for sticks, and ran, ran, ran. It doesn't get better than that.
