Frédéric Bazille and the Birth of Impressionism for Kids is a Must!

Shout out to our Art Historian co-op parent, Phaedra Siebert. For our final Exploring Arts trip this year, Phaedra took the kids to the National Gallery of Art to see the exhibition "Frédéric Bazille and the Birth of Impressionism." They talked about the practice of painting out-of-doors and how the Impressionist painters used that practice in making the contemporary art of their day. They concluded with a plain-air painting session at the Sculpture Garden.

Thanks for a fantastic year, Phaedra! Our kids have had the most amazing art education because of your knowledge, passion, and superb teaching skills. Lucky us. :)
