Synonyms!

This week for City Kids' Stories, our kids focused on synonyms while writing their narratives. With the help of their supportive writing teacher, Michael Smith, they considered whether they were using the most precise words available to express themselves. The kids wrote for an hour; following, they shared their stories with the group. Each story was unique and fun to listen to, and each child's personality shown through as they read their stories to each other. We followed up with an hour of Capoeira. Cartwheels are a great way to burn off energy after sitting and writing for an hour! It was a super day!
