Last week, we wrapped up our semester long exploration of textiles, during which our kids learned about and worked with textiles from different parts the world, including Asia and Africa. At the end of the week, they had the chance to experiment with painting and dying their own fabrics. We met at one of our parent's houses, who set up tables for painting and a large bucket for tie dying with indigo dye. Seriously, that was brave to invite the entire co-op over to paint and dye in her house. City Kids PROPS!
Monster truck rallies were held in between textile painting and dying.
And a feast!
Motorcycles make great drying racks for kids' tie dye. :)
