Madagascar!

November 18, 2016

In City Kids' World Cultures & Geography, we love that we have an entire year to learn about and celebrate cultures from all over the world, even in the most remote areas.  This past week, for our World Cultures & Geography class, our kids learned all about Madagascar. Of course, most kids know that lemurs live on Madagascar,

but the people who live there have a rich and diverse culture and history, which includes Indonesian, Arab, and African settlers (so lemurs are not the whole story--sorry lemurs!).  Our kids also learned about the various Baobab trees that inhabit the Island, and to finish off, the kids made Koba, a traditional dish found in Madagascar.

No, your kids don't have to hug Auntie Amazing. Even if she bought them a pony.
