Week 34: Lemurs, Beetle Mounting, Portraiture Workshop, Capoeira, Cheltenham Wetlands, and our Garde

This week our kids learned all about Lemurs!

As part of our review for world Cultures & Geography, one of our parents taught the kids about how beetles are used for ornamentation in different cultures across the world. Following, every child got their own beetle to mount.

City Kids had a special guest this week, a local artist who did a portraiture workshop with the kids. They were encouraged to think about how they could make their portrait reflect who they are and how they think about themselves.

Capoeira!

Friday field trip at Cheltenham Wetlands.

And here is this week's peak at our garden. Our collard greens look great, and the snap peas are flowering. Hopefully we will have some peas, soon!
